Editorial Illustration (Breaking the Binary)

This illustration is meant to communicate how stuck we are in the binary and that everything we do needs a gendered Label. The entire composition is meant to be dynamic and loud to generate talk about this issue. To communicate this The color palette is loud to grab viewers attention and draw them in. The hands are not gendered to lean one way or the other. The cuffs are short because we keep these gendered stereotypes so close to us, so we don’t have wiggle room to move in that binary or leave it.
